ART. 01 REGISTRATIONS

Limit: 1,500 participants.

The race will consist of two courses.

  • Marathon, 72km (+826m)
  • ½ Marathon, 45km (+542m)

The both races will start and end in Corralejo, with the control closing at 3:00pm.

Registration includes: rider’s pack, event jersey, accident and civil liability insurance, feed and drink stations during the race and at the finish line, and runner meal at 01 pm.

You must return the rider’s pack when returning your bib, in person or with given authorisation. Under no circumstances should it be sent by post.

Registration will open at 10:00 am on Wednesday 28th February 2024. The registration period will end on Saturday 28th September 2024 at 10:00 am, or once the participants limit has been reached.

Registrations after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances.

All participants who are accredited FEDERATED in the Canaries Cycling Federation

will be deducted –€10 from their registration fee.

IT IS MANDATORY TO BRING YOUR LICENSE WHEN COLLECTING THE BIB IN ORDER FOR THE FEDERATION JUDGES TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE CHECKS.

Please note that federated participants have their own CCF federal accident insurance and will therefore not be covered by the insurance provided by the Organisation.

For organisational reasons, online registrations are only allowed through www.fuertebike.net, using the link to the registration form and making the payment through the method provided.

1.2.- AGES

MARATHON……………….. 17 years and up.

1/2 MARATHON………….. 15 years and up.

Minors need permission from their parent or legal guardian to participate in the event, which will be downloaded, filled in and reuploaded during the registration process.

1.3.- CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Registration is personal, non-transferable and cannot be assigned to third parties. The registration amount for XI Electrón FuerteBike may be refunded in the following circumstances:

  • If cancellation of the event is communicated more than 15 days before the starting date, 50% of the registration value will be returned.
    • In the final 15 days before the event, there will be no refund of the registration amount due to any circumstances, including injuries, accidents, flight issues, changes in personal work timetables, etc.
    • Participants who cannot attend the event may not transfer their registration to another person under any circumstances, including those outlined in the previous point.
    • Changing which event you will participate in is not allowed 15 days prior to the event or once the registration limit has been reached.
    • In case of partial refund, the registered participant will lose their rights relating to the rider’s pack.

Registering for the event expressly implies acceptance of the cancellation and returns policy outlined above, via express consent given during the registration process.

ART. 02 BIB COLLECTION

The organisation will provide the bib that must be worn by all participants as well as the chip for timing.

It is very important to place the bib and chip for identification on the front of the bike.

Bib returns will take place on:

Friday 4th October 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The pick-up location is in the ELECTRÓN FUERTEBIKE tent next to the exit. You can see the exact location on the tour map, published on www.fuertebike.net

ID or a similar document is required when returning the bib. Under no circumstances will bibs that do not correspond to the interested party be accepted, unless there is express written authorisation ON PAPER along with a copy of the participant’s ID; documents that will remain in the possession of the Organization.

The attempted resale or resale of registration rights and the participation with another person’s bib will result in the expulsion of both the seller and the buyer from the event. Like every year, it is a Federated race with Judges from the Canaries Cycling Federation, with times taken by an external company via a chip timing system.

ART. 03 START TIME

On Saturday 5th October 2024 the start of Electrón FuerteBike’s XI Edition will take place, a FEDERATED mountain bike race.

These schedules are subject to change for organisational reasons.

ART. 04 HIGH DIFFICULTY SECTIONS AND FEED AND DRINK STATIONS

Feed and drink stations will be located:

  • 1/2 Marathon
    • KM 15,5 – Electrón feed and drinks station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 28,5 – Coca Cola drinks station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 45,0 – Paladea feed and drink station (Meta) – Liquids and Solids
  • Marathon
    • KM 15,5 – HyperDino feed and drink station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 26,5 – Electrón feed and drinks station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 41,5 – Coca Cola drink station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 54,4 – Columbus drink station – Liquids and Solids
    • KM 72,0 – Paladea feed and drink station (Meta) – Liquids and Solids

For organisational reasons, the location and km of these stations can be changed.

At 1:00 p.m. a meal will be served to all participants in the Fuertebike tent.

ART. 05 MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The organisation will arrange for extensive health services during the event.

ART. 06 MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE

The race will have mechanical assistance throughout the course provided by Dune Bike. There will also be two tents inside the Fuertebike tent, next to the start, where Dune Bike and Fula Bike will provide mechanical assistance.

ART 07- BROOM WAGON

The organisation will maintain a broom wagon service throughout different parts of the race, ending at the established race closure time of 3:00 pm.

ART. 08 DISQUALIFICATION

Participants in XI Electrón FuerteBike may be disqualified for any of the following reasons:

  • Littering outside of the feed and drink stations.
  • Participating without a helmet.
  • Using an E-Bike.
  • Using a gravel bike. Only participation with a mountain bike is allowed.
  • Failure to obey the instructions of the organisation’s referees or staff.
  • Losing the bib.
  • Arriving outside the cut-off time of any point of the event.
  • Displaying inappropriate behaviour towards other participants, the public, or members of the organisation.
  • Putting other participants at risk during the race.
  • Receiving technical assistance by anyone outside the event.
  • Skipping checkpoints.

*Finishing in the top 3 in the category to which it refers to.

Trophies will be awarded on the same day. Schedule to be determined, approximately at 3:30 pm

ART. 10 ROAD SAFETY

Some roads on which the event takes place are open to any vehicle, so participants must be aware of this fact and take precautions to avoid dangerous situations, for themselves as well as for third parties. All participants must comply with the provisions of the Road Safety Law. Anyone who does not comply with this will be expelled from the race and may even be sanctioned by the relevant authority.

Each participant must ELECTRONICALLY ACCEPT the rules established by the Organisation in order to participate in the event. Registration will not be given to riders who do not electronically accept said document. Through the document, the rider declares that they assume all risks inherent to participating in the open-to-traffic event, and that they exclude the event’s organisation from any responsibility for any incident or accident derived from participating in the event.

ART. 12 RESPONSIBILITY

The organisation is not responsible for any type of accident the participant may be a victim of or cause of, nor financially liable for any costs that they may incur during the event. Electrón Fuertebike will have Civil Liability insurance and Accident insurance for each rider participating in the event, as required by law.

ART. 13 PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY POLICY

Participants in ELECTRON FUERTEBIKE, by the fact of registering, give their consent for the organising club to process their personal data automatically and solely for sporting, promotional or commercial purposes, either by itself or through third parties. In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, the participant has the right to access these files in order to correct or delete their content in whole or in part. In order to do so you must request it in writing at the registered office of the Columbus Runner Fuer Sports Club.

Additionally, in accordance with the sporting, promotional and operational interests of Fuertebike worldwide (reproduction of photographs of the circuit, broadcasting of videos, publication of classifications, etc.), through any device (television, Internet, print advertising, etc.) and without time limit, registrants expressly assign to the organisation the right to reproduce their name and surname, their placing in the classification, their photographs and videos.

13.1.- PRIVACY

Please read these terms carefully before using this site. This site as well as the domain is owned and managed by Columbus Eventos, S.L. If you use this site it is because you agree with the Privacy Policy and the Terms of use. If you do not agree with these conditions, do not use or browse this site. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove parts of these Terms at any time. Please check these conditions periodically to be aware of any changes. 13.2.- INFORMATION COLLECTED

We collect two types of general user information: personal data of the event registrants (personal data); and aggregated data (information about traffic patterns on this site; for example, how many users visit the site each day).

13.3.- PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is collected when users provide us with information when registering for an event. When registering for an event you will need to create a username and password. Also, if you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we will collect that information in a file specific to you.

13.4.- AGGREGATED DATA AND USE

Aggregated data, such as which pages, users access, and information voluntarily provided by users, such as survey information or site registration information, is collected through various methods. OUR site automatically tracks certain information about you while you are using it. This information includes the source URL, destination URL, the browser you are using, as well as your IP address. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you are browsing the web. Web servers, the computers that “offer” web pages, automatically identify your computer through your IP address and, when you request a page from us, our servers record your IP address. We do not link IP addresses to anything that is personally identifiable, so you will remain anonymous even if you log in.

This site also uses “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that most websites copy to your hard drive to save logs when you visit. Cookies allow US to measure activity across various sections of the site and improve your user experience, for example by remembering your passwords and viewing preferences, which allows you to visit various sections of the site without having to sign-in again. 14.1.- Use of information collected by us.

We use the personal, aggregated and usage data we collect for various purposes. For example, to send information about events you have registered for or to carry out satisfaction surveys of participants in such events. We may use your email addresses, and on rare occasions, your postal address or telephone number, to contact you for customer service or billing purposes. Personal and aggregated data is also used to: improve website content, perform system administration activities, as well as notify users about page updates or promotions that we believe may be of interest to you. We always provide you with an opportunity to decline this service when you are asked for this information online. If you later decide that you do not wish to receive this information, or wish to be removed from the distribution list or request for information, you can do so by stating as such in an email sent to the email address that is included in all email communications. We may also use your information and activity on the site to resolve disputes, problems and honour our Terms of use.

14.2.- Terms of use.

Disclosure of collected data to third parties. We do not sell, advertise or loan your personal data to third parties without your prior consent. Please note that third party status does not include our subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees and partners found on the website, nor those who assist us with site operation. However, we may share your data, as part of aggregated information, as well as aggregated usage information, with third parties for advertising and promotional purposes.
